Biography

Dr. Olga Hart is a Principal Member of Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories. She received her B.S. in Civil Engineering and Ph.D. in Biological Design from Arizona State University in 2014 and 2019, respectively. She is a licensed Civil Engineer with experience in modeling the natural and built environment, including applications in municipal water and wastewater planning, regional groundwater assessment, agrochemical fate and transport, and wastewater-based epidemiology. Dr. Hart joined the Resilient Energy and Distributed System Integration (REDSI) group in 2022. She is involved in REDSI’s place-based work serving islanded, rural, and remote communities in their efforts towards energy resilience. Her research interests include the development of tools for equity-focused integrated planning at local and national scales, and the resilience of community and infrastructure networks.
