Registration is now open for the 2023 Power Electronics and Energy Conversion Workshop

We are pleased to announce registration is now open for the 2023 Power Electronics and Energy Conversion Workshop, hosted by Sandia National Laboratories. The workshop will be held in person August 2 and 3 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. MT, at the offices of the State Bar of New Mexico.

The goal of this workshop is to identify research directions and priorities for the next generation of power electronics and energy conversion systems for the electric grid, transportation, and national security. Researchers and industry partners interested in designing secure, scalable architectures as well as identifying vulnerabilities, risks, and mitigation strategies for existing systems are invited to join.

Join knowledgeable speakers and panelists for engaging power electronics and energy conversion topics including:

• Electricity delivery and the future grid
• Solid state transformers: Grid applications and roadblocks
• Solid state transformers: Circuit topologies and controls
• Semiconductor materials
• Passives
• Packaging and manufacturing, power density, thermal modeling, and supply chain
• Research and development gaps and business opportunities.
