Call for papers: 2027 Electrical Energy Storage Applications & Technologies Conference

Join Sandia and the IEEE Energy Storage and Stationary Battery (ESSB) Committee for EESAT 2027, to be held January 11-12, 2027, at the Sirata Beach Resort in St. Pete Beach, Florida. Papers are now being accepted for the 2027 IEEE Electrical Energy Storage Applications and Technologies (EESAT 2027) conference. Abstract submissions are due April 6, 2026.

The EESAT conference is a premier technical forum for advances in energy storage technologies and applications. This technical conference will be co-located with the IEEE ESSB Committee’s winter meeting and a meeting of the Energy Storage Integration Council (ESIC) to be held January 13-15, 2027.

About the Event

The technical program will highlight advances in:

  • Energy storage controls and application
  • Energy storage security
  • Energy storage system performance, safety, and degradation
  • Markets, standards, and policy
  • Energy storage and device management systems
  • Power conversion systems for storage
  • Energy storage technologies
  • Long duration energy storage

Researchers and practitioners are encouraged to submit papers for review and possible presentation. Accepted papers will be presented in an oral or poster presentation format and published in IEEE Xplore.
