Dr. Margaret Gordon is an inorganic materials chemist working in the Photovoltaics and Materials Technology Department at Sandia National Laboratories. Margaret currently serves as the DuraMAT Consortium Deputy Director, whose mission it is to discover, develop, de-risk, and enable the commercialization of new materials and designs for more reliable PV modules.
Margaret received her BS in Chemistry from University of Wisconsin-Madison and her PhD in Inorganic Chemistry from Northwestern University. She has significant experience relating analytical results to modeling efforts and teaming across departments on complex challenges. Current related research interests include changes in microstructure of amorphous inorganic sorbent materials during regenerative thermal cycling and functional inorganic-polymer composite materials.
