Sandia Energy > Programs > Renewable Energy > Wind Energy > Staff > Evan Anderson Evan Anderson, PhD Research & Development Mechanical Engineer Biography Evan Anderson is a postdoctoral researcher in the Wind Energy Design and Experimentation Department at Sandia National Laboratories. He grew up in Wyoming and received his master’s degree and PhD in mechanical engineering from the University of Wyoming in 2010 and 2019. His research emphasis is in computational structural dynamics and advanced mechanics of materials, as well as methods of optimization in multidisciplinary simulations. He has worked on projects at Sandia including the Big Adaptive Rotor project, a collaborative effort alongside of the National Renewable Energy Laboratories (NREL).
