His research focuses on PV system performance modeling and operational system performance assessment. He contributes to pvlib-python and many other open-source software projects. Prior to joining Sandia National Laboratories, Kevin was a researcher in the PV Field Performance and Reliability group at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory supporting the PV Fleet Performance Data Initiative project (2019–2023). Before that, he was a PV performance engineer evaluating and optimizing operational system performance at Cypress Creek Renewables (2017–2019).
