Jennifer L. Braid, PhD

Photovoltaic Energy Systems Scientist

Biography

Jennifer L. Braid is a member of the Photovoltaics and Materials Technology Program at Sandia National Laboratories and a research assistant professor in the Department of Materials Science at Case Western Reserve University. Her current research efforts include PV performance modeling and simulation, automated image processing for laboratory and field images of PV modules, developing new PV system performance metrics using data mining techniques for time-series data, and contributing to open-source software packages for the PV community.

Dr. Braid earned bachelor’s degrees in physics and mathematics from Ohio University, a master’s in physics from the Ohio State University, and her PhD in physics from the Colorado School of Mines.
