The scope of Daniel’s work includes PV modules and systems with focus in data acquisition, characterization, and modeling. Daniel has also developed skills for characterizing and modeling non-standard PV technologies such as concentrating photovoltaics (CPV) and AC modules. Daniel received a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the University of Missouri–Rolla in 2006, and a master’s in electrical engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology in 2011. His university research emphasis in communications and computer intelligence has been applied in the PV field, resulting in a patent for machine learning applications for PV system prognostics and health.
