Braden previously worked as an optical engineer specializing in remote sensing, working primarily with the simulation and calibration of remote sensing systems. Now, Braden’s research focuses on innovative optical metrology methods used to measure the quality of mirrors used for concentrating solar power. This includes the development of algorithms, measurement systems, and calibration systems for both laboratory and outdoor applications. Braden’s research also includes high power flux measurements using optical techniques.
