Manage relations with internal and external customers to ensure predictive modeling capabilities meet needs. Identify and pursue model development as necessary to meet program requirements. Mentor users of predictive modeling capabilities in the appropriate application of these capabilities. Recent research areas include predicting and mitigating thermal runaway in lithium-ion battery systems, aerosol-flame interactions, soot-radiation interactions in fires, electrochemistry of batteries in varying thermal environments, efficient dewatering of algae and integrated recovery of biomass nutrients.
