Before joining Sandia, he worked as a software engineer at Siemens Digital Grid on developing transmission network applications for energy management system and energy market management system products. From 2017-2018, he worked as a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign, on stability of a microgrid cybersecurity. He is currently serving as a senior member of technical staff in Energy Storage Technology and Systems group at Sandia National Laboratories, mainly focusing on modeling, optimization, and control of power system operation with energy storage systems. Research Interests Stability and uncertainty analysis of power systems with renewables and energy storage systems Operator theoretic methods for data-driven analysis and control of nonlinear dynamical systems Data-driven analytics for power grid and energy storage system operation and control Education Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Minnesota B.S. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, INHA University, Incheon, South Korea Google Scholar Hyungjin Choi Key Publications H.
