His current research focuses on modeling traveling waves on transmission and distribution systems, and on optimization methods for energy storage systems. Before joining Sandia, he was a product design engineer at Delphi Automotive Systems, and then a power engineer at El Paso Electric. He served as Adjunct Professor at the College of Engineering and the College of Business Administration at The University of Texas at El Paso.
