2021 PV Performance Modeling and Monitoring Workshop Call for Abstracts

The 2021 PV Performance Modeling and Monitoring Workshop to be held Oct. 19-20, 2021, in Salt Lake City, UT, is currently soliciting proposals from the photovoltaics community. Interested parties are encouraged to submit a short abstract on topics such as:

1. Solar resource assessment updates (led by GroundWork Renewables)
2. Module performance characterization (updates from test labs, IEs, etc.) (led by CFV Labs)
3. PV performance model updates including open-source (updates from model developers)
4. PV performance model and sub-model validation studies
5. Advances in monitoring technology and analysis (fault detection, classification, predictive O&M)
6. Bifacial modeling updates
7. Smart tracking algorithms

Abstracts are due Aug. 1, 2021.

Sandia National Laboratories, GroundWork Renewables and CFV Labs will co-sponsor the two-day workshop, examining the technical challenges and opportunities related to PV module and systems modeling. This year, the event will feature a single track covering topics such as solar resource assessment, module characterization, PV performance modeling, advanced performance monitoring, and fault detection, among others.
