Biography

Nicolas Delovato is a graduate student intern in the National Thermal Solar Test Facility (NSTTF) at Sandia National Laboratories. He received his bachelor of science degree in Mechanical Engineering with honors from New Mexico State University in May 2019. Along with his work at the NTTSF, he is pursuing his master of science degree in Mechanical Engineering at New Mexico State University. Presently, Nicolas is working on thermal, fluid, and mechanical simulations for the Gen3 Particle Project.

Nicolas has presented research at several research conferences, mostly notably at the 2019 ERN Conference in STEM in Washington D.C. His first research article was recently published in the journal, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews. He is a proud member of university’s local chapter of Tau Beta Pi.
