Port Decarbonization Stakeholder Workshop

Join port authorities and operators, utility representatives, the navy, and national labs staff for a day and a half of activities to participate in shaping the DOE’s future release of analysis tools to help in our nation’s efforts to decarbonize ports!

When: Wednesday, July 24 and Thursday, July 25, 2024

Where: Sempra Corporate Headquarters located at 488 8th Ave. San Diego, CA 92101

Sponsor: The US Department of Energy, Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability, via Sandia National Laboratories and Quanta Technology

Sandia National Labs technical staff will use three case studies to illustrate the process of using national lab analysis tools to consider three aspects of ports decarbonization: energy justice, energy resilience, and safety around hydrogen infrastructure. We will show how to input data, run the analysis, and review the results.

The workshop is intended as a two-way conversation: Sandia staff will provide insight into how lab tools are structured, and participants can influence how to make the tools increasingly useful for ongoing efforts to meet energy transition goals.
