Ellison / 505-610-2239 Biography James F. Ellison is a Principal Member of the Technical Staff in the Electric Power Systems Research Department at Sandia National Laboratories. He hold masters degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Technology and Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a masters degree in Management from Stanford University. Prior to Sandia National Labs, he was with the AES Corporation, where he worked as a business developer, a power plant manager, and a distribution company manager. His research interests and expertise include production cost modeling, valuing grid-scale storage, integrated resource planning, and integrating variable generation.
