Jeff Jortner (in Sandia’s Scalable Modeling & Analysis Systems Dept.) has been re-elected for another three-year term as the President of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Special Interest Group on Graphics and Interactive Techniques (SIGGRAPH).
ACM is the world’s largest educational and scientific computing society and delivers resources that advance computing as a science and a profession. ACM SIGGRAPH has evolved to into an international community of researchers, artists, developers, filmmakers, scientists, and business professionals with a shared interest in computer graphics and interactive techniques and is the largest of all the ACM SIGs.
SIGGRAPH promotes the generation and dissemination of information on computer graphics and interactive techniques and fosters a community whose core values help them to catalyze the innovation and application of computer graphics and interactive techniques. SIGGRAPH also sponsors two of the five largest ACM conferences.
