During the last week of April, Sandia National Laboratories participated in the National Hydropower Association Waterpower Week in Washington, D.C., hosted by the Department of Energy (DOE). Five Sandia water power engineers presented posters at METS, the Marine Energy Technology Symposium, and generated interest from both academia and industry in Sandia’s research and development efforts. Sandia Labs researchers presented a wide range of work, including instrumentation of tidal turbines, advanced wave energy control design and survival analysis of wave energy converters.
