Sandia, along with other national laboratories, coordinated two meetings in May focused on hydrogen energy. The first, held at National Renewable Energy Laboratory, convened utility stakeholders to discuss the potential of hydrogen to provide services to the electricity sector and enable greater penetration of renewable energy production as part of DOE’s Hydrogen at Scale (H2@Scale) Big Idea initiative. The second, held in Livermore, explored ways to substantially increase hydrogen use throughout the energy system in California.
