Todd Griffith (in Sandia’s Water Power Technologies Dept.) was recently elected in the class of American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics (AIAA) Associate Fellows.

AIAA Associate Fellows are “individuals who have accomplished or been in charge of important engineering or scientific work, or have done original work of outstanding merit, or have otherwise made outstanding contributions to the arts, sciences, or technology of aeronautics or astronautics.”

Todd’s election recognizes his technical contributions and professional service to AIAA, and in particular for active service to and leadership in the AIAA Structural Dynamics Technical Committee, notable technical paper contributions, and a distinguished service award for “bringing Wind Energy to the AIAA SDM Conference” by developing a special multi-‐year track for Wind Energy research at the AIAA SDM Conference.

The AIAA Associate Fellow Dinner will take place at the close of the first day of the AIAA SciTech Forum, which is co-located with the ASME Wind Energy Symposium in National Harbor, Maryland from January 13–17, 2014.
