The Department of Energy (DOE) will hold a peer review of their Grid Modernization Initiative (GMI) projects on April 18-20, 2017 at the Sheraton Pentagon City Hotel in Arlington, VA. This event will be open to the public and will provide an opportunity to learn about the current state of technology and network with energy sector stakeholders. A portfolio of over eighty grid modernization projects across thirteen programs will be reviewed. The comprehensive review will look at the projects at a program level, provide lessons learned, and share best practices. Twenty-nine foundational projects will be examined in the peer review process, where industry leaders will serve as objective reviewers. A dedicated poster session will provide the opportunity for attendees to learn about the other projects in the portfolio.
