2014 Workshops

Brayton Cycle Workshop and Industry Day, August 2014

On August 26-27, 2014, Sandia National Laboratories plans to host a two day brainstorming session for Industry aimed at discussing the national challenges and collaborative opportunities present in sCO2 Brayton Cycle power cycle development. This event will seek to gather specific and detailed input from industry to identify:

  • critical research and development and demonstration activities needed to commercialize this technology
  • market sectors most interested in the technology
  • partnering proles and funding mechanisms needed to enable successful long-term development

US/German Workshop on Salt Repository Research, Design, and Operation, September 7-11, 2014


The fifth workshop will highlight Repository Design and Operations and this topic will be the focus of the first day. The focus of the second day will be the Thermomechanical Behavior Of Salt, Plugging And Sealing, And The Safety Case. Special topics will be addressed on the third day.
