Second Annual Electric Power Research Institute/Sandia Photovoltaic Systems Symposium

Sandia and Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) are delighted to host the second joint symposium on technical issues related to photovoltaic (PV) systems and related technologies. This year, the symposium will cover three areas:

  • PV performance modeling;
  • screening methods, distribution PV hosting capacity, and advanced inverter modeling; and
  • PV system reliability and maintenance strategies.

Sandians Joshua Stein (Photovoltaic & Distributed Systems Integration Dept.), Geoff Klise (Earth Systems Analysis Dept.), and Robert Broderick (Photovoltaic & Distributed Systems Integration Dept.) will each be co-hosting one of the three day-long workshops.

Space is limited, so we encourage all stakeholders (utilities, PV system developers, plant owners, integrators, independent engineers, model developers, inverter and inverter component manufacturers, researchers, and O&M providers) to register for this unique multiple-day meeting as soon as possible. Registrations can be made either on a session-by-session basis ($100 each) or for the entire 3-day affair ($300 total).

Additional details are posted on the symposium website. The Biltmore Hotel (Santa Clara) is offering a special rate on a block of rooms for the symposium until April 21st (6 p.m. MST). Call the Biltmore Hotel (800-255-9925); mention Booking ID #29582 or “Sandia Labs” when making reservations.
